At the heart of my practice are the concepts of place and time. Through vibrant color, dynamic mark-making, and layered textures, I create drawings and paintings inspired by everyday life. The work in this exhibition reflects fleeting summer moments in Michigan—peony gardens, lakeside vistas, and scenes of people enjoying the landscape during the warmer months. Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I draw inspiration from the state’s lakes, gardens, and seasonal rhythms, hoping my paintings evoke a shared sense of place and belonging.
